At Above & Beyond Educational Services, LLC, we specialize in completing psychoeducational reports in a timely manner, empowering parents with a comprehensive understanding of the special education process, and fostering collaboration among stakeholders to implement evaluation recommendations and ensure academic success for every child.

  • Through contracts with school districts and other social service agencies in Connecticut, we complete Cognitive/General Intelligence and Behavior/Social-Emotional evaluations.

    We also offer Area Specific Evaluations in Attention and Executive Functioning.

    *These services are also available to parents and families who are in need of a special education evaluation.

  • Reviewing Individualized Educational Plans (IEPs)

    Reviewing other important documents such as Functional Behavioral Assessment (FBA) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)

    Preparing families for Planning and Placement Team (PPT) meetings

    Discussions about concerns related to child’s progress

    Discussions regarding whether or not an evaluation is necessary

    Helping families understand the special education and 504 process

  • In this one-on-one session, parents/families that received a new special education identification for their child will have the opportunity to ask in-depth questions related to the identification, explore their feelings around the identification, and learn strategies to support their child in the home and school environment.

    *Session length can range from 45 minutes to an hour depending on the nature of the identification/diagnosis.

  • Provide strategies and tips to help new school psychologists navigate their early years in the profession

    Problem-Solving Collaboration: Discuss current case studies

    Psychoeducational report writing tips

    Help with the development of SLO’s for evaluation purposes (For clinicians in the school setting)

    Discussions related to identity as a BIPOC school psychologist

  • Offering Professional Development to school districts, social service organizations, and any other educational organization in the following areas:

    • Culturally Responsive Report Writing

    • Strength-Based Report Writing

    • Addressing Implicit Bias in School Evaluations
